I have many memories of drive-inn movies growing up in an era when they were still popular. Since The Meateater has a premise about drive-in movies, I added an extra star for nostalgia. However, that is the only redeeming quality about this very B-grade flick, where a family man buys an old run down theater unaware that it is haunted by an evil, psychotic, old man who prays on teenage movie goers, while having a crush on actress Jean Harlow. That's all there is to this film! The movie is available on YouTube as of July 26, 2024. I saw the film many years ago on Elvira's Movie Macabre. I saw it the other day on YouTube. The film was only made funnier on Elvira's show because of Elvira's wit and humor when she showed horror films on her Movie Macabre program on Saturday Nights. Without Elvira, there is nothing good about this film. This is one to skip.
