Is there another Marvel setting that evokes the same feelings of awe and wonder as Wakanda?
Sure, Asgard has its gilded corridors of power – not to mention the resplendent Bifröst Bridge – but when it comes to sheer spectacle, Wakanda is practically in a league of its own. That was one of the big concerns going into Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: how will Marvel’s special effects gurus render such a wondrous, ultra-futuristic utopia?
Well, if the initial trailers for the film are any indication, Coogler and his team have knocked it out of the park, laying the foundation for what will supposedly be a big, operatic family drama centering on T’Challa, the would-be king of Wakanda. But that won’t be the only time in the near future when we take a trip to the fictional country, as Avengers: Infinity War will be heading back there as well,...

I know a lot of you are excited about Avengers: Infinity War, so while we wait for it to be released, which seems like a lifetime away, we have a great retro mashup trailer for you to watch! It comes from Darth Blender and it features a mashup of footage from several classic superhero films that were made in the 80s and 90s. I'm sure you'll remember some of these if you were up to speed with what Marvel was doing during this era. Below the video, you'll find a list of all the films that were used and all the characters that the actors are meant to play.
I love that Chuck Norris in The Punisher! It also features Burt Reynolds as Iron Man, David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury, Jean-Claude Van Damme as Winter Soldier, Dennis Quaid as Star-Lord, Eddie Murphy as Falcon and more!

The SyFy Channel has released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming Superman-inspired series Krypton. I've actually been looking forward to this series as I've been impressed by everything I've seen so far, which hasn't been much. This is actually the first promo that we've seen since the Comic-Con trailer was released.
Krypton is set 200 years before the events of Man of Steel and it will follow Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El, who is played by Cameron Cuffe. It's said to take place in a time when "the House of El was shamed and ostracized and Seg-El is looking to bring hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known."
The series also stars Georgina Campbell (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) as Lyta Zod, who is part of Krypton’s military caste and daughter of General Alura Zod.

May 4th is still a full six months away and Avengers: Infinity War is already breaking records.
In fact, at 230 million, Marvel’s long-anticipated teaser now holds the title as the most-viewed trailer of all time within the first 24 hours of release, easily surpassing It, which racked up a staggering 197m across the globe in a single day. “There was an idea: to bring together a group of remarkable people.”
Nick Fury’s call to arms was perhaps the perfect way to open the epic and indeed record-breaking first teaser for Avengers: Infinity War, but a new theory compiled by the folks at ComicBook.com suggests that Marvel’s buzzworthy reveal actually alludes to four major character deaths. Grab the tinfoil hats and get comfortable, it’s speculation time!
If, like us, you’ve watched the Infinity War footage ten times over, you’ll know Samuel L. Jackson’s rousing speech is echoed by four key members of the Avengers: Iron Man, Vision, Thor and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. And ComicBook.com is now alleging that those four heroes weren’t just picked at random.

Thanos’ deathly lieutenants are reporting for duty.
Just as we were slowly beginning to pick our jaws up off the floor following yesterday’s stellar teaser for Avengers: Infinity War, BossLogic has produced a dark and really rather awesome piece that places the spotlight squarely on the sequel’s villains. And that’s villains plural.
Proving that you can’t conquer (obliterate?) the world alone, Josh Brolin’s Mad Titan will be calling on the help of the Black Order in his quest to gain control of all six Infinity Stones. Together, they are the adopted children of Thanos – not unlike Gamora and Nebula’s relationship to Infinity War‘s chief antagonist – and down below, you’ll see BossLogic’s artwork that’s designed to draw attention to the movie’s other villains: Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, and Cull Obsidian.

The first trailer for ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ has arrived, and it is absolutely glorious. The Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it began in 2008 with ‘Iron Man‘, and will go through a massive change when ‘Infinity War‘ hits theaters nearly 10 years later. After 18 movies of build-up that includes a trio of trilogies (Captain America, Iron Man and Thor), and two and a half ‘Avengers‘ movies, we finally get to see how all of this work will finally come together.
In a recent Vanity Fair piece with Kevin Feige, the Marvel mastermind detailed how ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ would change the landscape of the McU as we know it, serving as a “Finale” of sorts. It’s pretty common knowledge that many of the actors from the Phase 1 films are nearing the end of their contracts, so it seems natural that ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ and the as-of-yet untitled ‘Avengers 4‘ will serve as...

I don't know about you, but I have been rewatching the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War over and over again every chance I get. It's just so damn exciting, and it's filled with so much crazy footage for fans to comb through! So, I went ahead and took a bunch of screenshots from the trailer for you to plow through to try and find any cool little details and Easter eggs.
One of the biggest things that I noticed is that it seems to confirm the popular Soul Stone fan theory. As you noticed in the trailer, Black Panther and Wakanda were heavily featured. We even see that there's a major battle that takes place on Wakanda as Thanos and his Black Order forces attack. So why is Wakanda such a major set piece? That's gotta be where the Soul Stone is!
It's was previously theorized that the Soul Stone...

In keeping with tradition, Marvel’s first teaser trailer for Avengers: Infinity War ended on a crowd-pleasing note: the God of Thunder coming into contact with the frickin’ Guardians of the Galaxy aboard the Milano.
Still licking his wounds from the calamitous events of Thor: Ragnarok, Chris Hemsworth’s Norse god has seen better days, so what better way to lift the spirits than to put him in the company of James Gunn’s spacefaring A-holes? On a more serious note, it’s a neat way to bring Marvel’s Cosmic Universe closer together, which has been firing on all cylinders thanks to the back-to-back success of Guardians 2 and the recently-released Ragnarok.
And if you cast your mind back to James Gunn’s rip-roaring sequel, you’ll no doubt recall the moment when Groot began his regenerative process. Little Baby Groot is no more,...

Some photos from the set of Ant-Man and The Wasp have surfaced giving us our first look at Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne. The photos also include Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. It looks like the scene that is being shot is a flashback because the actors look like they will be playing younger versions of themselves.
In the first Ant-Man film, Pym is mourning the loss of his wife, who has been lost in the sub-atomic realm. It looks like maybe the story of how this happened will be told. It will be interesting see how they end up bringing her back from that sub-atomic realm.
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: Ant-Man and The Wasp. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father.

WaterTower Music is proud to announce the November 10 release of the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Warner Bros. Pictures’ epic action adventure Justice League. The album features one of the industry’s most versatile and accomplished film composers, Danny Elfman, who is returning to score a DC Super Hero film for the first time since 1992’s Batman Returns.
While bringing his celebrated and unique approach to the Justice League score, Elfman also gives DC fans some special familiar moments. Utilizing memorable character themes to tell the musical story, he incorporates and re-interprets iconic music from past films, including John Williams’ Superman theme, Hans Zimmer’s Wonder Woman theme, and his own Batman theme. “I’m using the same thematic material that I used back then,” Elfman told Billboard Magazine. “It never actually went away. We’ve got these iconic bits from our past and that’s part of us, that’s part of our heritage.

A bunch of new photos have surfaced from the set of Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp. They give us our first look at Evangeline Lilly all decked out in her Wasp costume. She looks great and I can't wait to finally see The Wasp in action! You'll also see photos of Walton Goggins, who plays the corporate villain Sonny Burch.
The movie also stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, Michael Pena as Luis, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, T.I. as Dave, Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo, Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Hank Pym, and Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster, who was an assistant to both Tony Stark and Hank Pym in the comics. He eventually takes on Pym’s Giant Man abilities and becomes a superhero known as Goliath.

Anyone confused that "Bumblebee" is both the name of a Transformers character and a DC Comics superhero?
Hasbro apparently believes there's room for confusion as it has brought a trademark lawsuit against DC Comics and Warner Bros. The complaint, filed in New York federal court, asserts that the defendants have begun using "Bumblebee" in connection with a line of "Super Hero Girls" action toys.
"Defendants and/or their licensees are using the exact mark that is the subject of Hasbro’s Bumblebee Trademark Registration for goods that are identical or closely similar to the goods listed therein and/or goods covered by Hasbro’s...

Because the realm of copyright law is sometimes a difficult terrain to navigate, it appears as if Hasbro and DC Comics are about to throw down in a federal court for the right to market "Bumblebee" toys. On Monday, Hasbro, owners of Transformers brand toys, filed a lawsuit that accuses Warner Bros. and DC Comics of trademark infringement. As per the suit, Hasbro claims that the DC Super Hero Girl,... “I am honoured to be on set today playing #TheWasp on what would be Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday."
She may not be wearing the full costume with the mask, but it's still enough to get fans excited! One thing is for sure, and that's that she's looking very serious in what looks like an elementary school classroom.
Ant-Man and The Wasp also stars Paul Rudd, Michael Peña, Michael Douglas, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins and Randall Park.

To commemorate what would have been the 100th birthday of Marvel mainstay Jack Kirby, Evangeline Lilly has shared an up-close look at her Hope van Dyne as she’ll appear in Peyton Reed’s sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Currently shooting in Atlanta alongside the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4, Lilly posted this action shot via Twitter with the caption, “I am honored to be on set today playing #TheWasp on what would be Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday. #ThankYouJackKirby #AntManAndTheWasp.”
No further details were disclosed, though the folks at Omega Underground believe this newly-unveiled set photo, one that places Lilly’s hero in a classroom, aligns with previous rumors that Marvel was in the process of casting Japanese schoolchildren for a sizeable sequence in the Land of the Rising Sun – not unlike the Yazuka scene set to feature in Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers sequel, then.

Ant-Man and The Wasp has officially begun production! With a little under a year left until the film’s July 6, 2018 release date, this is certainly great news for fans who are clamoring for more adventures with their favorite miniature heroes. Although this quick of a turnaround for a movie this size is certainly unusual, we will have three McU films before this one even comes out. As the first film to follow Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and The Wasp should address some of the eventual fallout from the the McU’s biggest movie to date. The penultimate question is how much time will be spent on universe building as opposed to telling the story of our heroes.
Director Peyton Reed will return to helm the film, with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprising their roles as the title characters, in addition to Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Most of the supporting cast will return.

We have big, Big news coming out of the Marvel camp today, as Ant-Man and the Wasp has officially entered production ahead of its release in 2018.
Word comes by way of the studio’s ever-active Twitter feed, along with an all-too-brief set video featuring two diminutive makeup chairs: one for Scott Lang; the other for Hope Pym. Brought to life by Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, respectively, the titular duo is poised to join forces in Peyton Reed’s forthcoming sequel – and not a moment too soon. Having spent much of the original wasting away on the sidelines, Marvel fans have longed for the moment when Lilly’s character suits up as the Wasp, adopting her father’s cutting-edge shrinking technology in the process.
Meanwhile, by the time Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in July, Scott Lang will have enjoyed (endured?) two dalliances with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes thanks to...

Ant-Man was one of a few films that had the potential to knock Marvel off of its pedestal. It was a relatively unknown character — and those who knew about the character likely felt there was no way to adapt him to the big screen. It had the potential to be goofy, stupid, and all-around underwhelming, especially since it was set to hit after the more epic Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The end result was a bit surprising. It was a pull back in scope, no doubts there, but after Age of Ultron, it was a much needed palate cleanser. It proved that things didn’t necessarily have to keep getting bigger and bigger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, this world had the potential to get as big as it needed before going back down to a more personal story. This is exactly what Ant-Man did, and audiences and critics alike responded well.

On November 7, 2017, WB will release the DC Universe Original Movies: 10th Anniversary Collection on Blu-Ray. The collection includes all 30 Animated movies, 5 shorts, new special features, and exclusive collectible items. The Digital version will release much earlier on August 15, 2017.
Unfortunately, a price point has not been issued yet,...

If you’re reading this, odds are that you’re likely familiar with the concept of Free Comic Book Day, which occurs on the first Saturday in May every year. In short, it sees all major publishers in the industry put out select tiles at no charge with the intention of reeling in new readers – and to increase foot traffic in comic shops.
What you may not be aware of, however, is that a smaller, yet similar, event runs every year in October, that being Halloween ComicFest. It’s basically the same concept, only many of the books often lean toward the spooktacular. Well, that’s depending on if the publishers feel like playing along.
Still, the Big Two have much to offer with Marvel set to release reprints of Star Wars: Darth Maul #1 (you can check out our review of the original printing here), Runaways #1 and what looks to be a classic issue of Thor by Walt Simonson, no doubt being released with the intention of hyping up Thor: Ragnarok.
As for DC, they’ll be serving up Batman: Night of the Monster Men #1, which is actually a reprint of that arc’s opening chapter that was originally found within the pages of Batman #7. Seeing as how the trade paperback release is approaching, offering a sampler seems like a smart move, not to mention the grotesque creatures our heroes do battle with are in keeping with the season. Aside from that, a DC Super Hero Girls sampler can be picked up, and appears to contain an excerpt from the “Past Times at Super Hero High” graphic novel.
So, if Darth Maul or any of the other aforementioned titles don’t strike your fancy, there are other fine books to choose from on October 28 such as The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 2 from Archie and Hellboy and the Bprd: 1953 from Dark Horse. Covers for the bigger releases can be seen in the image below, but if you require further information on the full slate, follow the source link.

This fall The CW may need to consider changing its name to the DC Super Hero Network or something similar with as many super hero shows as it has lined up. Starting with Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. If that weren't enough, soon they will also launch Black Lightning. As many of us have already seen, they have already released a promo image as well as a trailer for the show. This show as confirmed by the CW President Mark Pedowitz will not be part of the Arrowverse as they are not looking to make a 5 way crossover, not to mention that while the other shows are produced in Vancouver, Black Lightning is produced in Atlanta. But I think that they will be crossed over at some point. Supergirl wasn't supposed to cross over either but that quickly changed as well all remember. So for now with...

During Sony's PlayStation E3 presentation, Marvel showed off almost 9-minutes of gameplay footage from their new Spider-Man game and it's wicked awesome! This looks like the ultimate Spider-Man game that fans of the character are going to love!
The demo features Spider-Man reluctantly helping Wilson Fisk as he embarks on a mission saving members of Fisk's organization from a new deadly gang in town. It turns out that this new gang is run by Martin Li a.k.a. Mr. Negative and to make things worse for Spider-Man, Aunt May is employed by the villain.
This game looks like so much fun! The style, design, and graphics are all great and I especially love how fluid the gameplay is. I can't wait to play this thing!
Starring the world’s most iconic Super Hero, Spider-Man PS4 (working title) features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for,...
