Italian singer Laura Pausini has released “Io Si (Seen),” written by 11-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren. The song is taken from “The Life Ahead” starring Sophia Loren. “lo Si” (Seen) is the Grammy winner’s second entry in the original song race, with hopse to land a nom for the 93rd Academy Awards set for next April.

Warren, who also has “Free” from Disney Plus’ “The One and Only” in contention, is hoping to increase her odds of taking home a Best Original Song Oscar on April 25, 2021 by returning to form with an emotional power ballad. “The Life Ahead,” directed by Edoardo Ponti, bows Nov. 13 on Netflix.

Will Diane Warren finally take home an Oscar for best original song? The 11-time nominee already has “Free” from Disney Plus’ “The One and Only” in contention, and the veteran songwriter is aiming to better her odds with another contender in the mix.

From “The Life Ahead” starring Sophia Loren, “lo Si” (Seen) is the Grammy-winner’s second entry in the original song race with hope to land the nom for the 93rd Academy Awards set for next April.

“The song is in Italian and it’s the first time I’ve written a song for a foreign movie,” Warren tells Variety. “I read the script and I was so moved by it. The movie is beautiful.”

The film arrives to Netflix on Nov. 13 and tells the story of Madame Rosa (Loren), who takes in a 12-year-old street kid Momo played by Ibrahima Gueye — the same child who had recently robbed her.

Comedy legend and TV pioneer Carl Reiner died at 98, according to Variety. His assistant, Judy Nagy, said he was with his family when he died of natural causes at his home in Beverly Hills on Monday night.

Reiner was one of the true greats. He helped shape comedy on television from the early golden era. Filmed comedy would not be the same without him. Even standup comedy owes him a great debt. There are sandwiches named after him in kosher delis around the world. Reiner was always beloved, and forever acting. He was instantly popular from the moment he appeared on Sid Caesar’s Your Show of Shows in 1950. He and Mel Brooks brought a party gag to national prominence they created the “2,000 Year Old Man” routine. He was veteran conman Saul Bloom in Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven movie franchise, played Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer’s stepfather on Two and a Half Men.

Veteran Indian actor Anupam Kher met Hollywood stars Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and described it as a "beautiful encounter".

Anupam on Thursday posted a photograph with Hawn and Rusell, whom the 63-year-old called "fantastic actors".
