- Frank Davis: Why are you trying so hard to do your job?
- Mr. Mallory: I have a high regard for the human race. I want to see that it sticks around a little while longer.
- Mr. Mallory: I had a feeling that you couldn't be trusted.
- Frank Davis: I'd like you to take a look at this chart.
- [reveals a revolver]
- Frank Davis: Persuasive, isn't it? You could call it a case of temporary insanity. Tell them to bring the husband up here to see his wife. Come on.
- Mr. Mallory: Bring the father down on the double.
- Frank Davis: Very good.
- Dr. Perry: [about the monster babies] More alert everyday. They communicate, they're very much aware of each other, they've been quite calm and I think they trust me. My tests indicate they have the mental capacity of a human infant at 21 months.
- Eugene Scott: I'd like to see them.
- Dr. Perry: Are you sure?
- Eugene Scott: Yeah, I saw mine. I'm not afraid to look anymore.
- Dr. Perry: One thing I think you will find, they bear a striking resemblance to each other, almost like brother and sister.
- Eugene Scott: Oh is... is one of them a female?
- Dr. Perry: When they grow in five to six years, they should be capable of sexual activity. I pride myself in thinking that these two might be the first to reproduce on this planet.
- Eugene Scott: Which one is mine?
- Dr. Perry: Oh, he's in the laboratory upstairs. He'll be brought down here eventually, where it's warm. Also being with each other seems to calm them. I've named them; first necessity of a child I suppose. Might be in bad taste or even blasphemous to have named them Adam and Eve. What the Hell, it seemed like a good joke at the time.
- Dr. Forest: [to Eugene] They know you're afraid of them.
- Eugene Scott: No kidding. They're not the only ones who know it, or do I know?
- Dr. Perry: Your fear seems to have threatened them.
- [to the monster babies]
- Dr. Perry: He's the father of one just like you. You're going to have a little baby brother. He's here and he's safe and this is his father. See, neither of them have ever met their parents; probably want to focus on you as a father figure.
- Eugene Scott: [sarcastically] Ah, thanks Doc, I'd hate to rob you of that honor.
- Dr. Perry: Stop that. Everybody knows that you can make noises if only it makes people nervous and fearful of you. You behave yourself or I won't let you out.
- Eugene Scott: [shocked] You let them out?
- Dr. Perry: Just Adam, and I'm always well armed. I've never seen them this agitated before. You can see them again tomorrow if you want.
- Eugene Scott: Yeah, thanks Doc, that'd be great.
- Dr. Perry: [to the monster babies] Stop that. Behave yourselves.
