Ceferino Díaz Fernández ( Alfredo Landa) is a poor peasant from in his search for wealth he decides to travel to Mexico to try his luck in the "new world" In Mexico he spend 40 years, becoming more Mexican than Spaniard, then he returns to Spain and face difficulties adjusting to the ways of his own country. Finally accepting that he is more Mexican than Spaniard.—jairhcastillo
