The tune was written by Don Reid who was a member of the country music group . In Chapter 11 of his book "Random Memories" (2007), Reid confesses to having never seen this movie.
During the robbery attempt, a poster for the 1972 Peter Sellers flop Where Does It Hurt? (1972) can be seen on the wall of the drive-in concession stand. Drive-In and Where Does It Hurt were both directed by Rod Amateau.
