Bob Crane, Werner Klemperer, John Banner, and Leon Askin were all starring together on Hogan's Heroes (1965) at the time this film was made.
Not only were four of the principal actors from Hogan's Heroes the stars of this film, but four more actors in this film appeared on the TV series:
- Theodore Marcuse played a different role in three different Hogan's Heroes episodes, as General Freidrich von Heiner, Pierre & Ludwig Strasser.
- Larry D. Mann also played a different role in three different Hogan's Heroes episodes, as Illyich Igor Zagoskin, SS General Brenner & Doctor Vanetti.
- John Myhers played a different role in four different Hogan's Heroes episodes, as Colonel Schneider, Dr. Hermann Felzer, General Wittkamper & Field Marshal von Heinke.
- Barbara Morrison played a role in a Hogan's Heroes episode, as Mrs. Gretchen Schultz.
The bar where Paula gets drunk, The Hofbräu, has the same name as the bar where Hogan often meets contacts in Hogan's Heroes (1965). Note that 'Hofbräu' is a fairly generic name for a bar/cafeteria, and is roughly equivalent to the term 'Bodega' (in terms of being a generic name). So, while Hogan's Heroes often used the Hofbräu for various purposes, it is not a unique name, as many German cities have their own Hofbräu (or more than one).
