Re-released in Great Britain under the title of "E.T.N.: The Extraterrestrial Nasty" during the Video Nasty era. The VHS cover itself was actually a doctored E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) poster made to look like a gory rip-off.
The Mustang Joan (Carol Gilley) used in the movie was her husband's actual car. She had a Lincoln but thought her husband's would be cooler.
The name on the side of the ambulance/hearse is "Murray-Orwosky." The funeral home of the same name is still in business in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
There's a scene where Joan (Carol Gilley) used the phone in the kitchen. That was her actual house. She said they needed an interior scene so she let them use her home.
The girl near the beginning of the movie says of their scenic location, "All we need is a loaf of bread and a jug of wine." That is a partial quote from The Rubiyat of Omar Khayyam.
