Alternate versions

Film was first released to theaters at 92 minutes. When the film was later aired on ABC network television, eight minutes of footage was added to the running time. The 100 minute TV version is now shown regularly on the TCM channel.

There are two different opens to the film, the only difference being the music: The current version available on DVD and streaming services features a "surf rock" version of the theme, backed by a racing car engine sound. The version previously broadcast on television used a "mashup" of orchestral instruments, with an electric guitar and brass section "breaks."
