Originally released in 1964 at 62 minutes, then re-edited into current 74 minute version and re-released in 1966.
Concurrently with the production of this film, Monte Hellman and Eddie Romero co-directed a version of the film in the Tagalog language of the Philippines, with most of the same cast, titled Cordillera (1964).
