This is the final appearance of Witch Hazel in the DePatie-Freleng era, and the only Witch Hazel cartoon to be directed by Robert McKimson and produced by David H. DePatie and Friz Freleng after Chuck Jones was fired.
This is the last Looney Tunes short featuring Witch Hazel, as well as the last Looney Tunes short with June Foray's voice acting in the Golden Age of American animation.
The title is based upon the child's nursery rhyme "A Hunting We Will Go".
Daffy's nephew sounds a bit like Sylvester's son, which is not surprising since Mel Blanc, the man of a thousand voices, voiced his character.
