Leonard Swindley first day as Assistant Manager at Dobson and Hawks. His boss Mr. Parbold is less than impressed when he arrives late. Things get worse, when banking the day's cash he forgets the key to open the bag with the money.
Parbold tasks Swindley with sweet talking Miss Buxton, headmistress of Brookfield High School into letting Dobson and Hawks have the uniform concession. Not an easy task as she is known by the students as Frankenstein's Grandmother.
