Michael Cuesta is set to direct the first episode of “Daredevil: Born Again,” according to an individual with knowledge of the project.

Charlie Cox is returning in the role of the superhero and Vincent D’Onofrio is returning as his iconic adversary, Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin. Titled “Daredevil: Born Again,” the new series will be 18 episodes and is set to debut in Spring 2024 on Disney+.

Production is set to begin in New York this month. Other directors are being eyed to direct the next batch of episodes in the series.

Additional cast include Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt and Michael Gaston. Holt is playing the wife of the Kingpin, Vanessa Fisk.

Cox will reprise the Marvel role five years after the show was canceled on Netflix in 2018. “Daredevil” ran on Netflix for three seasons and aired a total of 39 episodes.

Michael Cuesta, the director behind the pilots for shows such as Dexter and Homeland, is helming the first episode for Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again.

Production on the 18-episode Disney+ series begins this month in New York and marks the true integration of characters that began life on Netflix, when the streamer had a slate of Marvel series in the mid-2010s, into the popular and dominant Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Charlie Cox, who starred as Matt Murdoch, aka Daredevil, the man without fear, is reprising his role for the series after making brief and teasing cameos in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Vincent D’Onofrio is back as Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime — his first appearance in the MCU was a cameo in Hawkeye — and Jon Bernthal is returning as the hard-edged vigilante known as the Punisher.

Hey, "Blue Bloods" fans. Unfortunately, it's one of those times again where we have to tell you that you're not getting a new episode of Blue Bloods tonight, February 17, 2023. Yeah, we're not sure what happened, but the folks over at CBS just aren't doing it tonight. That means the next, new episode 14 of Blue Blood's current season 13 will be Mia (Missing In Action) from CBS' primetime line up tonight. It's also not going to show up next Friday night, February 24, 2023. Yeah, apparently, Blue Bloods is currently in the midst of being delayed for two weeks, but we can officially tell you that CBS does plan to finally air the new episode 14 on Friday night, March 3, 2023 in its usual, 9 pm central standard time slot. So, definitely be sure to not let that very important date and time slip from your memories.

When the European Film Market kicks off in Berlin on Feb. 16, the three Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will share the stage as the EFM’s joint Countries in Focus. The showcase, which is supported by the Estonian Film Institute, the National Film Center of Latvia and the Lithuanian Film Center, will offer a range of events within the framework of the EFM, along with a selection of market premieres and screenings of Baltic films already making waves on the festival circuit. Twelve up-and-coming Baltic producers will also be presented to the international industry during a happy hour on Feb. 17 in the Gropius Bas.
