Following his major breakthrough in “Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow” and the success of “Drunken Master”, Jackie Chan seized the opportunity to finally be able to take over directing duties for a project. Apart from his experience as an actor, his collaboration with director Yuen Woo-ping had given him complete freedom over his stunts, resulting in the blend of martial arts and comedy which would become his trademark as a performer to this day.
