A strange little movie with a different Heinz Rühman that I had in mind or different than I remembered him. He always was this sweet little man - not that he is a monster here, but more a realistic old man who has seen so much, he can not afford to show heartfelt emotions - no pun intended.
The movie is short and feels a bit like a play (which it may have been, with the one location setting). Very well played even if it feels quite strange, no matter if you knew Heinz from before or not. But there is tension and the movie seems to conclude in a predictable way - there may be more of the man I thought I knew here than at first glimpse ... just don't rent/lent anything to him ... well unless ... people do change, don't they?
