At about 30 minutes, Carter is attacked and captured by several thugs. She's wearing a white jumpsuit that gets smudged in several places during the fight, but is clean by the end of the sequence.
It makes no sense for Carter to seek comfort from Chuck when she already knows he's one of the bad guys, even before learning just HOW bad.
