- Dr. Isaac Cushing: She will tear up the whole town until she finds Harry.
- Deputy Charlie: And then she'll tear up Harry.
- Delivery man: [inventorying the items he has just brought] Meat hooks, four lengths of chain, forty gallons of plasma, and an elephant syringe.
- KRKR-TV Commentator: Ladies and gentlemen, this is KRKR-TV. And now, more news of high fliers. Nancy Archer, the former Nancy Fowler, heiress to the Fowler millions and owner of the fabulous Star of India diamond, has joined the ever expanding international society of satellite seers. From the Archer's palatial home away from home comes a report that Mrs. Archer has not only to be seeing a sociable satellite, but its inhabitant as well: a 30-foot giant. Was he pink with big ears and tusks? Well, maybe Mrs. Archer, who has recently been feuding with her husband, Handsome Harry, has finally found a man from out of this world, a man who could love her for herself. Come, come, Mrs. Archer. A man can ignore one million dollars: but, fifty million! That's too much to ask even from the man in the moon!
- Nurse: Doctor! Doctor Cushing! Something's happened to Mrs. Archer!
- [screams and the Doctor arrives]
- Nurse: Something's happened to Mrs. Archer.
- Dr. Isaac Cushing: Astounding growth!
- Jess Stout: [about the Sheriff's gun] You're not going to use that on her, are you?
- Sheriff Dubbitt: What do you want me to do, put salt on her tail?
- [Charlie finds a giant footprint on the Archer's yard]
- Deputy Charlie: Wow! What is that?
- Sheriff Dubbitt: I don't know. Whatever it is, it wasn't made by some Japanese gardener.
- Harry Archer: You know, you're going to flip your lid just one time too many with me, Nancy.
- Nancy Archer: And you're going to make one too many passes at some other woman! My husband, huh! My gigolo! That's what you are. You're a miserable parasite. You're just after my money! I was rid of you once. Why did I take you back? Why? Why?
- Harry Archer: Why did you, Nancy?
- Nancy Archer: Why? Because I love you, Harry!
- Deputy Charlie: What's with her? Is she off her rocker or something?
- Sheriff Dubbitt: Don't look back. But as long as she pays most of the taxes around here, we play along with her.
- Harry Archer: They need my permission to operate. They're looking for me now to sign the papers.
- Honey Parker: That's great. that's wonderful. Just hide out here for a few days and let her blow up like a balloon.
- [first lines]
- KRKR-TV Commentator: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is KRKR-TV. And now for the latest news. Early tonight the Captain of a Swedish ice-breaker in the Barents Sea, reported seeing a strange red fireball come out of the sky. Says the Captain, "It hovered above my ship for about a minute and then headed south by southwest." Unquote. Radio Cairo reports a herd of camels stampeded by a comet-like object, streaking southwest across the Sahara. And in Capetown, Africa, a Boer, no doubt, reports a similar flash across the sky. And, still one more, ladies and gentlemen, a farmer in Auckland, New Zealand, reported a strange glowing object, this time, moving northeast. Now, let's see... Barents Sea... Cairo... Auckland. Considering the timetable of these reports, the stranger from space should be over our California desert in a matter of minutes.
- Honey Parker: The serum that private nurse is using in her hypodermic needle, I heard the doctor tell her that an overdose would be fatal.
- Harry Archer: Money certainly brings out the best in you, doesn't it?
- Honey Parker: Have you got the nerve?
- Harry Archer: Read the morning papers.
- Dr. Heinrich Von Loeb: If you hadn't succeeded in giving her that sedative, there's no telling what would have happened.
- Dr. Isaac Cushing: Well, thank heaven we got the chains on her arms and legs.
- Harry Archer: I'm so fed up. I never should have agreed to go back to her once we were separated.
- Honey Parker: Why did you?
- Harry Archer: You know why. I couldn't pry a nickel out of her! That community property routine only works for women! A man hasn't got a chance.
- Honey Parker: Unless their wife dies.
- [he looks around in shock]
- Honey Parker: I didn't say anything.
- Harry Archer: You were thinking it!
- Honey Parker: Not the same thing.
- Dr. Heinrich Von Loeb: How long will the morphine be effective?
- Dr. Isaac Cushing: No telling with the size of her body.
- Sheriff Dubbitt: Oh, Charlie. Go get the riot gun. We're taking a ride out to the desert with Mrs. Archer.
- Deputy Charlie: Right. Why the heavy artillery, Chief?
- Sheriff Dubbitt: There's a flying satellite and a 30-foot giant a few miles out on Route 66.
- Deputy Charlie: [runs into office then runs back out] A 30-foot giant? Oh, no.
- Honey Parker: Didn't you say she was in the nuthouse for awhile?
- Harry Archer: A private sanitarium.
- Honey Parker: What's the difference. She was off her rocker, wasn't she?
- Harry Archer: I suppose so. They've got some fancy name for it.
- Honey Parker: Come on, now Harry. Let's not be naive. You've made a good start, now follow through. She's on the brink and you know it!
- Harry Archer: I don't know it. Dr. Cushing seems to be helping her a lot. She's tapering off on the bottle too. Hardly took a drink all evening. You saw her.
- Honey Parker: All she needs is a little help. Play the husband, right to the end. Once she's in the booby hatch, throw the key away. That'll put you in the driver seat. You'd make a wild driver, Harry - with 50 million bucks!
- Deputy Charlie: She's tearing outta here like she was headin' for the moon!
- Sheriff Dubbitt: Poor, mixed-up, Mrs. Archer. I feel kinda sorry for her.
- Deputy Charlie: Yeah, well, I feel a lot sorrier for her husband if she ever catches him with that Honey Parker, he's got stashed away at the hotel. Ooh, what a doll!
- Harry Archer: No one thinks your - crazy, Nancy.
- Nancy Archer: How nice. Then you believe me? You believe I saw the satellite.
- Harry Archer: Well, it's not the first time someone has seen a satellite.
- Nancy Archer: Right in the road? With a giant in it?
- Dr. Heinrich Von Loeb: The blue green color around the scratches at her throat. I would venture to say, it's some sort of radiation, which we in medicine have never touched upon.
- Dr. Isaac Cushing: I've known Nancy since she was born. In those days, she was a beautiful child. Fresh. Young. Full of the joys of life. But, in the last few years, after her marriage, she changed. Her health seemed to rise and fall with the tide of her emotions.
- Dr. Heinrich Von Loeb: Very sad case. A case not infrequent in this supersonic age we live in.
- Dr. Isaac Cushing: I'm afraid I was unwise in advising her to take Harry back after they'd separated.
- Dr. Heinrich Von Loeb: Who knows, my friend. When women reach the age of maturity, Mother Nature sometimes overworks the frustration to the point of irrationalism. Like the middle aged man, of our age, who finds himself looking *longingly* at the girl in her early 20s.
- Honey Parker: You know what our problem is? We both have the same disease: money, and happy ways of spending it.
- Harry Archer: Hey, hey, hey, Tony, something's happen to your lights.
- Tony the Bartender: I got eyes, I can see.
- Honey Parker: Who needs lights?
- Harry Archer: [having driven his wife in search of a flying saucer and alien giant] There's nothing out there, just emptiness.
- Nancy Archer: As far as I'm concerned, you can go too. Go back to Tony's and that woman you were mooning about.
- Harry Archer: Oh, knock it off, will you. Now, you pulled a boner tonight and you know it.
- Nancy Archer: I didn't feel like sitting there and watching you flirt all evening with that redheaded wench you call Honey.
- Harry Archer: For heaven's sake, Nancy. Why, I hardly nodded to the girl.
- Nancy Archer: Now, you listen to me, Harry, I won't stand for any more of your two-timing! You keep away from that girl in that hotel, you hear? Your backdoor romance has split us up once already. The next time there won't be any reconciliation!
- Sheriff Dubbitt: Run my car into town and get the riot gun, Charlie. Bring a coupla grenades and some tear gas - and flashlights too.
- Deputy Charlie: Tear gas? Grenades?
