Goofs

The label on the box behind Carter, reading 'P F G Lembo' is peeling off the second time we see it, but is stuck back on thereafter.

In the scene where Matt is repairing the sign on the kinema's roof, there is a cut to a long shot of the train passing, but he is not on the roof. We then return to the previous shot of him on the roof.

When Mrs Fazackalee tells Matt Carter that she "can't tolerate Mr Quill", her position changes between shots, from close to the desk to being near the middle of the room.

When Carter is told by the Spensers "We've seen the cinema", his glasses shift from his face to his hand in consecutive shots.

At one point, Carter is talking to Matt Spenser with his hands by his side and the next shot shows Carter holding Matt by the arms.

The deedbox of Matt's uncle opened by Robin Carter in his office bears the name Mr. Simon Spencer, but the inscription at the Bijou Kinema shows his surname as Spenser (as in Spensers Electric Theatre).

In scenes showing the auditorium, the projection room is shown to be way up above the circle, meaning that the projectors should have had a steep tilt or rake downwards towards the screen. But in the scenes in the projection room, the the projectors have no downward rake, as though the projection room was at the rear of the stalls.

When the young couple arrive in "Sloughborough", in the north of England, they climb out of the taxi in front of Hammersmith underground station in London.
