Jean Arthur's final screen acting project. She would sporadically continue to act on stage until 1975.
Arthur, who had been a popular comedic and dramatic actress during Hollywood's "Golden Age," had starred in such diverse classic films as You Can't Take It with You, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The More the Merrier and Shane, came out of retirement for this series. Sadly, it would prove to be a ratings disappointment, and not even last a single season.
