I was twelve years old when I saw this film. My Mother and Grandmother took me to NYC for my Birthday and this was what I wanted to do; see my Uncle Jerry dance and my cousin Kathleen (in a bit part). He had been Paul Newman's college room mate at Kenyon, a friendship that survived 'til Paul's death. He was in the Broadway production of "Where's Charlie" starring Ray Bolger and has retained an interest in performing arts. I was thrilled. It was sweet and quirky, my first taste of "arty film". Jere is still nimble and one of the funniest people I've ever met. He is well, owns and operates Halo Farms in Princeton NJ. The film itself is a distant memory. The story was gentle and a refreshing change from today's hyper movies.
