The opening tracking shot is the longest in Czechoslovakian cinema history and consumed one third of the film's budget.
In the middle of filming, cinematographer Jaroslav Kucera was invited to a film festival in South American and abruptly left the production. The remaining film was shot by an uncredited Miroslav Ondrícek.
