Film debut of Roy Scheider

Candace Hilligoss got Roy Scheider his part in this film.

Filmed almost entirely on the estate of Gutzon Borglum (the man who carved the Presidents on Mount Rushmore). Exteriors were filmed on the grounds and interior sets were built in Borglum's sculpture studio. Director Del Tenney is married to actress Margot Hartman, whose father (at that time) owned the property.

Candace Hilligoss was five and a half months pregnant while she was making this film.

This film premiered at a drive-in movie theater in Texas.
