Mae Questel, who plays heiress Cecilia Albright, was a prolific character actress, most famous as the voice of cartoon characters Olive Oyl, and Betty Boop.
Outside of Lester's TV shop is a poster for "The Errand Boy", Lewis's film of the previous year. Behind that one is a poster for his "The Geisha Boy" from 1958.
Lewis also played a TV repair man four years earlier in "Rock-a-Bye Baby".
The television set that Lester brings to Flint's office is a classic example of portable models from the era: a 19", convex black & white screen, a channel changing dial, volume knob, and several smaller knobs for vertical and horizontal hold, with a built-in set of rabbit-ear antennas. Depending on location, they may or may not have been able to pick up all three of the main broadcasting channels, and more expensive models might have a UHF adapter, which might be able to receive some smaller range, more obscure channels.
