On ABC, two long scenes were deleted, both of which depict Sam the Sheepdog injuring Ralph the Wolf: 1) Ralph using a noose to catch a sheep, only to end up caught and punched in the face by the Sheepdog, and 2) Sam Sheepdog holding Ralph by the neck over the cliff edge, the lunch whistle ringing, the two leaving to have lunch, and when lunch is done, Sam Sheepdog continues where they left off before lunchtime (holding Ralph by the neck over the cliff edge) and dropping him to the ground.
On CBS and Cartoon Network, as on ABC, the lunch break was edited, but CBS and Cartoon Network only deleted the brief scene of the two smoking (though the subsequent shot of Sam Sheepdog tapping his foot with the pipe was retained).
