Sister Wives fans, we've finally made it to the episode you've all been waiting for. Christine Brown and David Woolley's lightening speed relationship is finally culminating with a walk down the aisle.
At this point, we've seen every aspect of Christine's wedding planning, from picking a venue to throwing countless celebrations to shopping for a wedding dress. We've also been repeatedly reminded of how different this wedding will be from her first wedding to Kody Brown back in 1994, in which she wore a dress that resembled a satin pillowcase and had to keep the entire thing under wraps because they were afraid of being exposed as a plural family.

Now, about 30 years later, Christine is finally getting her dream wedding. And we finally get to see it on this episode, entitled "A Time To Weep, A Time To Laugh."

Season 19 of Sister Wives has certainly served as a shakeup for the long-running series, as a new sneak peek for Sunday's episode reminds us.
Granted, the Brown family's longstanding reality TV fame is such that some developments outrun production, such as Christine's quickie marriage to new husband David Woolley — the wedding had long come and gone before Season 19 aired, depicting the start of their courtship.
At the same time, fans were aware that Kody's marriages to the so-called "Og three" – Meri, Janelle, and Christine – had collapsed, but it's when episodes air that viewers get a better understanding of precisely what went down.
Currently, Kody and his one remaining wife, Robyn, are monogamous by default — and if you need to refresh your memory about the wildly eventful Season 19 to date, we've been recapping the show thoroughly:

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the 2024 Doctor Who Christmas special, "Joy to the World."Doctor Who's rich and storied history means the show can address long-forgotten storylines, and showrunner Russell T. Davies has chosen to do so with an incredibly niche piece of canon from the era of Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor. Baker was one of the most popular actors to play the Time Lord in Doctor Who's classic era, and the return of Sutekh Doctor Who season 14 proves that Davies is also a fan of that period of the franchise's history. However, the show's leader is delving even deeper into Four's past to possibly help inform Doctor Who season 15's story.
Tom Baker remains the longest-serving of all the actors to play the Doctor. He made his debut as Four in 1974 and stepped away in 1981. His lengthy time as the show's leading man resulted in many storylines...

Doctor Who has finally answered a 14-year-old question that left fans scratching their heads. Doctor Who season 14, which premiered in May 2024, brought in the brilliant Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor. Gatwa has been received with praise for bringing a vibrant new Doctor to the table. Since Disney bought Doctor Who and relaunched it in 2023 with Gatwa fronting proceedings, it has introduced new mysteries without answering all too many. However, Doctor Who made sure that one old franchise mystery was resolved.

New Doctor Who Reveal Sets Up The Return Of Matt Smith's Very First Villain, Played By Olivia Colman
Prisoner Zero could be returning to Doctor Who, according to a newly-revealed snippet of information. After Matt Smith's freshly-regenerated Eleventh Doctor polished off his custard-soaked fish fingers and adjusted his bow tie, the first Doctor Who villain he faced was the formidable Prisoner Zero. In its base form, this creature looked like a DNA mashup of an eel and a piranha, but the creature's shapeshifting ability meant it typically looked human during Doctor Who season 5's "The Eleventh Hour."
Most memorably, Prisoner Zero was portrayed by Olivia Colman in her pre-Oscar years. When "The Eleventh Hour" aired in 2010, Colman was best known for her long-running role as Sophie in the British comedy series Peep Show. The actress would, of course, go on to win a Best Actress Oscar for The Favourite, and is now a firm favorite of Hollywood. Interestingly, a sneaky clue released ahead of Doctor Who season...

When last we left our fearless Sister Wives fam, the wives were learning how to form new communities in the wake of their multiple divorces from patriarch Kody Brown. Meri Brown seeks to build a community of supportive girlfriends, Christine Brown is building a new familial community with David Woolley, and Robyn Brown wants to encourage her daughters to find community through faith.

As Season 19 of Sister Wives progresses, it's tempting to propose a drinking game for each instance of someone in the Brown family declaring someone is their "soulmate" or someone else's "soulmate" — but we fear the threat of alcohol poisoning would be too grave.
You'd think, perhaps, that a family who became such a major reality TV presence solely because of their once-polygamous marriage might not be too invested in the concept of a "soulmate," which is similar to the idea of "the one," but that is clearly not the case.
If you've never seen Sister Wives and only have a passing familiarity with the current clusterfracas unfolding this season, Brown family patriarch Kody went from having three wives – the "Og three," Meri, Janelle, and Christine – to four, when he married Robyn.
But if you've kept up with all 19 seasons, then you know that Kody endured an exodus of wives, which...

Sister Wives fans weren't quite sure what to expect going into Season 19, but it has been a wild ride of shifting allegiances — and viewers accused Meri of "throwing Janelle under the bus" after the most recent episode.
One aspect of the current season of the long-running reality TV show concerns Kody's respective splits from Christine, Janelle, and Meri, and how the ends of those marriages would pan out in terms of a jointly-owned and confusing asset, a parcel of land known as "Coyote Pass."

The official synopsis for Doctor Who's 2024 seasonal special has been unveiled, revealing its full cast while teasing the return of an old foe. Picking up after the events of Doctor Who season 14, the episode will see the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) drawn to a hotel that offers a selection of rooms from across human history. With Millie Gibson's Ruby Sunday reconnecting with her family, Bridgerton and Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan will take on the role of new one-time companion Joy.
With less than 30 days until "Joy to the World" airs, the BBC Media Centre has released a full synopsis for the upcoming Doctor Who seasonal episode as part of their Christmas Day television guide. As Joy checks into a seemingly ordinary hotel, she is drawn into an adventure with the Fifteenth Doctor across Earth throughout its history, though there is far more in store for the two of them.

A new glimpse at Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor Who's 2024 Christmas special reveals that the episode will feature a number of nods toward Matt Smith's first episode as the Eleventh Doctor. Titled "Joy to the World", the episode focuses on a powerful but dangerous piece of technology finding its way to a futuristic time-traveling hotel during the holiday season. While Millie Gibson will be absent from the episode, Doctor Who's 2024 seasonal adventure will star Bridgerton and Derry Girl's Nicola Coughlan as one-time companion Joy.
With less than a month until Doctor Who returns to screens on Christmas Day, the cover for the upcoming issue of Doctor Who Magazine revealed by the official Doctor Who Instagram account has given a new look at the Fifteenth Doctor. While his outfit remains unchanged from past previews, Gatwa's Time Lord is holding a newspaper with several nods from writer Steven Moffat's tenure as showrunner.

Kody Brown’s role in the Brown family’s money woes has finally been exposed on Sister Wives. As the series hits the midway point of season 19, Janelle and Christine Brown finally blow the whistle on Kody’s alleged mismanagement of family funds. After peeling the lid back on his misdeeds, Kody’s reported money grab left three of his four wives at a distinct disadvantage.
Kody Brown reportedly paid his wives like employees and kept the excess
In the newest episode of TLC’s Sister Wives, titled “The Eleventh Hour,” lingering questions about how equally the Brown family finances were divided were finally answered. Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Kody Brown addressed the inequality of the division of assets.

Kody Brown wants to be included in Meri Brown’s next wedding, and in a big way.
In Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, The Eleventh Hour, Kody and Meri said “Bon Voyage” when Meri moved back to Utah.
After finalizing their divorce, Meri left Flagstaff to start over as a newly single woman at her B&b in Parowan.
Kody helped Meri pack her belongings as part of her “severance package“ and unpack them at the B&b.
Once it came time to bid each other farewell for good, Kody became overwhelmed with emotions.
Kody sobbed as he said goodbye to his third ex-wife, calling their split the “end of an era.”

Kody and Meri Brown shared an awkward moment neither of them saw coming.
During Sunday night’s episode of Sister Wives, The Eleventh Hour, Meri moved out of her home in Flagstaff, Arizona, and into her B&b in Parowan, Utah.
As part of her “severance package,” Meri employed Kody to help move her things, and her brother-in-law, Nathan, tagged along to help out.
Ironically, the day fell on Kody and Meri’s would-be 33rd wedding anniversary.
Kody was skeptical that perhaps Meri planned it on purpose, but she claimed it was a complete coincidence.

Warning: spoilers ahead for Doctor Who season 14, episode 6, "Rogue."
Doctor Who season 14 introduces a mysterious new Doctor seen among holograms of past regenerations. The new Doctor, resembling Richard E. Grant, may be the Shalka Doctor. The Fifteenth Doctor's lack of reaction to the mysterious hologram raises questions about their awareness of this new regeneration.
Doctor Who lives up to its title as season 14 sneakily introduces a mystery face into the Doctor's regeneration line, but this newcomer may actually be a ghost from the franchise's past. Doctor Who periodically likes to remind audiences of old regenerations, whether via the scribbled drawings of John Smith in "Human Nature," or when the Atraxi examined its records on Earth before promptly running away in "The Eleventh Hour." The trope resurfaces in Doctor Who season 14, episode 6, "Rogue," as Rogue's ship scans the Doctor and conjures up a series of holograms depicting past regenerations.

Matt Smith's portrayal of the Eleventh Doctor stood out due to his otherworldly quality and natural eccentricities, says his companion Karen Gillan. Smith faced pressure to prove Doctor Who's longevity after David Tennant's departure, but showcased the Doctor's weariness and bravery. Smith's dedication to the role helped prove BBC executives wrong and ensured the series continued thriving to its 50th anniversary and beyond.

Moffat's return to Doctor Who in "Boom" showcased emotional complexity, action, and a romance subplot. "Blink" was a standout Doctor-lite episode with a simple yet powerful monster in the Weeping Angels. "Heaven Sent" stood as Moffat's best episode, exploring themes of grief with the Doctor monologuing for centuries.
Following the release of Steven Moffats most recent Doctor Who episode, Boom, it was worth considering which of his episodes are the very best. Steven Moffat was one of Doctor Whos ex-showrunners and took charge during the eras of Matt Smiths Eleventh Doctor and Peter Capaldis Twelfth Doctor. Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson begin their excellent adventures in earnest: here’s our Doctor Who Space Babies spoiler-filled review.
Final warning: this review contains spoilers.
For those of us who grew up in the era of wobbly monsters, episodes of Doctor Who afforded one set and a bit of studio time, and the same corridor shot from multiple angles, this new era of the show still takes a little getting used to. To see Doctor Who able to segue into a side moment where there are convincing-looking dinosaurs roaming and for it not even to be the main thrust of the story is quite something really.
But here we are, and all power to it. I’m betting a pound that the butterfly effect at the start comes back towards the end of the series, though.

In the parlance of the times, we are so back.
After the three triumphant Tennant/Tate specials, I’ll confess that “The Church on Ruby Road” left me feeling slightly apprehensive. While an effective showcase for Ncuti Gatwa’s charisma, as a forecast for the new era I found it to be overly frenetic, bordering on slapdash. Christmas specials are always going to be broader affairs, but this one frequently felt like a first draft held together with little more than the raw enthusiasm of all involved.
Happily, “Space Babies” is more solid in every respect. It’s well structured, economical and – crucially – very entertaining. And while I doubt it will be topping many all-time favourite lists, that’s fine, because that’s not really its job.

In Norman Taurog's 1963 film "It Happened at the World's Fair," Elvis Presley plays a crop-duster pilot named Mike whose crop-dusting plane was just repossessed by the local sheriff. While hitchhiking home, wondering how he'll get the money to buy back his plane, Mike comes upon the Seattle World's Fair. There, he instantly becomes smitten with a local nurse named Diane Warren (not to be confused with songwriter Diane Warren) played by Joan O'Brien.
To manufacture a reason to see the Fair's nurse, Mike pulls an 11-year-old boy out of the crowd and offers to pay the kid a quarter in exchange for a really, really hard kick to the shin. The kid is thrilled to have the money and dutifully thwacks the stranger. As Mike limps away, the kid mutters to himself "Adults. They're all nuts." The unnamed character was played by an uncredited Kurt Russell making his feature film debut.

Entering Doctor Who can lead to Oscar success, with talented actors like Olivia Colman and Peter Capaldi shining after their time on the show. Notable nominations for Best Actress, like Carey Mulligan's roles in Academy Award-nominated films, showcase the talent fostered by Doctor Who. The show continues to produce stars like Daniel Kaluuya, whose role in Doctor Who helped pave the way to his Oscar victory.
For many British actors, Doctor Who is a show they aspire to be in, but only a few who have achieved that goal have also gone on to win an Oscar. Since the show's beginning in 1963, many talented performers have joined the Time Lord on an adventure, whether that be for a singular episode, a whole season, or playing the Doctor themselves. Doctor Who is a staple in British culture, and appearing in the show often leads actors to become household names in the UK.

Matt Smith had a bumpy start as the Eleventh Doctor, with some episodes receiving criticism for lackluster plots and out-of-character choices. The episodes "The Beast Below" and "Victory of the Daleks" were particularly criticized for their execution and design choices. Despite the early setbacks, the introduction of new companions and higher stakes in the stories quickly helped improve the consistency and quality of Matt Smith's Doctor Who era.

There are always a lot of expectations going into a "Doctor Who" Christmas special, and that goes double for "The Church of Ruby Road." Whereas some Christmas specials have had the task of introducing a new Doctor, and other specials have had to introduce a new companion, this is the first in the show's history to introduce both Doctor and companion at the same time. And how does it do? Well, it mostly does fine. So far, Millie Gibson's been delightful as the clumsy Ruby Sunday, and Ncuti Gatwa is a lot of fun as the energetic, optimistic new Doctor.
If there is a downside to this episode, it's once again the villain. The bad luck goblins that Ruby and the Doctor face off against this episode are insanely silly, even by "Doctor Who" standards. It's not a dealbreaker since they're clearly not the episode's main focus, but for...

Doctor Who season 14 pictures have shown Ncuti Gatwa in numerous costumes, and they are secretly honoring the previous Doctors. Doctor Who season 14 is highly anticipated due to the return of showrunner Russel T. Davies. Rtd is bringing back a lot of his golden era notables as well, especially with the 60th-anniversary special, which sees the return of David Tennant as the Doctor and Catherine Tate as Donna Noble. Composer Murray Gold is also returning, emphasizing Rtd’s focus on reviving Doctor Who after a lull in the Chibnall era.
The 60th anniversary is the main focus of Doctor Who’s return and its cryptic trailers have built even more excitement. Rtd seems to be playing heavily on nostalgia for the 60th anniversary which could be either exciting or tiring for audiences, but for now, has caught many fans' attention. However, season 14 of Doctor Who seems to be going in an entirely different direction.

Since 2005, modern Doctor Who has taken a very different approach to regeneration that forgets the disturbing truth of its real-world origins. Introduced in 1966, the concept of regeneration ensured the longevity of Doctor Who when actor William Hartnell stepped down from the role due to ill health and enmity with his producers. Since then, regeneration has allowed Doctor Who to recast its lead character multiple times, with each regeneration becoming a relaunch for the show.
From William Hartnell to Ncuti Gatwa, the Doctor has regenerated at least 15 times, not including the glib fireworks display of the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi) in "The Lie of the Land", or the Tenth Doctor's regeneration into the Tenth Doctor in "Journey's End". The more casual approach to regeneration in Doctor Who's modern era has occasionally run the risk of removing any threat to the character. Burbank, CA – Warner Bros. Discovery has meticulously remastered Max Fleischer’s treasured set of 17 animated Superman shorts from the original 35mm source elements. Max Fleischer’s Superman 1941-1943 will be available to purchase Digitally on HD and on Blu-ray May 16, 2023.
Superman made his comic book debut in 1938, appearing in Action Comics #1, and the Man of Steel’s popularity grew with his subsequent radio program. Max Fleischer gave the world’s first Super Hero his initial animated spotlight, producing 17 theatrical animated shorts from September 1941 to July 1943 that further elevated the character’s profile, and added many significant aspects to his canon – including coining many of Superman’s patented catchphrases and attributes.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s advanced remastering process began with a 4K, 16-bit scan of Fleischer’s original 35mm successive exposure negative. Staying true to the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.37-to-1, the highest quality raw image was then scanned and...

In Doctor Who, the Doctor frequently creates rules for his companions or guidance that he follows himself, with the Eleventh Doctor establishing significantly more rules than any other iteration. Since the modern revival, the Doctor has been the last of his kind, which gives him both an extreme amount of survivor's guilt and somewhat of a god complex, as he is generally more advanced than any enemy he might face. While most other versions of the Doctor created rules to keep their companions safe, many of the Eleventh Doctor's rules come across as a way to keep himself and those like him in check.
The Eleventh Doctor had a heartbreaking perspective on himself and the world around him, which became increasingly clear in his darker moments. In season 6, episode "A Good Man Goes To War," the Doctor explained the fundamental connection between his rules and his sense of self-hatred, explaining,...

Matt Smith’s success has only grown since his time in Doctor Who, and this breaks a bizarre 60-year trend. Matt Smith became the Eleventh Doctor in 2009, taking over from David Tennant, and first appeared in 2010 during Doctor Who season 5, episode 1, “The Eleventh Hour.” Matt Smith’s Doctor proved popular as he continued to mix and develop the light, joyful Time Lord with darker, tormented notes, and plenty of new villains emerged to fight him.
Doctor Who is a British television classic, and has enjoyed global success with a huge fan following. Even before the Doctor Who revival with Christopher Eccleston, Doctor Who already had decades of beloved episodes, and these are still watched and discussed during the modern era. Doctor Who’s success is passed on to actors who become the titular Time Lord, and they become renowned for their time in the Tardis. Despite this, their roles after...

In 2005, Steven Moffat wouldn’t have been as successful a Doctor Who showrunner as Russell T. Davies. The two are very different writers, with Moffat simultaneously introverted and romantic in comparison to Davies’ passionate tenure’s underlying cynicism. The latter was much better suited to introducing the show to a wider audience, and the former was better at interrogating the show’s tropes and characters (much easier to do if you’re going second). The two are in conversation with each other, consciously or not. Moffat started off one of his storylines towards the end of Davies’ final series.
Indeed, Moffat’s time on the show is in conversation with the entire history of Doctor Who, asking fundamental questions about the character’s identity, ethics and flaws, going right back to the character’s beginnings (near the beginning and end of his first incarnation) and asserting the importance of fear...

The Time Traveler’s Wife Episode 1 Review
The Time Traveler’s Wife, HBO’s new miniseries adaptation based on Audrey Niffenegger’s novel of the same name, is taking full advantage of the extended time serialized television offers in regards to telling a story involving multiple timelines. The opening episode assumes viewers have not read the novel or seen the previous movie adaptation, but it makes the jumps in time easier to follow if you have the background of either or both. This miniseries is not for people who have already made their mind up to hate the premise but it’s for the readers of the novel who wanted more character development from the movie.
Henry DeTamble (Theo James) is the time traveler in the title. His powers of time travel are limited to his actual lifespan, give or take a few years.

Amy Pond and Rory Williams are perhaps the most beloved companions the Doctor ever had. Their evolution on screen in terms of character development is among the most extensive character evolutions of the show. For those that haven’t met the Ponds, let’s discuss who they are and how exactly they have evolved in the “Doctor Who” series.
Who Are Amy Pond and Rory Williams?
Amy Pond and Rory Williams, collectively known in the series as The Ponds, were the companions and in-laws to Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor. Though they’re husband and wife, they’re referred to as The Ponds due to Rory’s timid personality compared to Amy’s confidence and decisiveness — hence the fans’ joke that Rory should’ve taken Amy’s last name.
Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor, though appearing later in the show, after the Ponds, stated on an occasion that there would...

Tons of British actors have been in the running for Oscars over the years. And of course there have been countless British actors who have made their way through “Doctor Who” since the sci-fi series was revived in 2005. So it makes sense that the Venn diagram would include some overlap. But it’s still significant that three of this year’s four acting races at the Oscars could be won by “Doctor Who” alums: Carey Mulligan (“Promising Young Woman“), Olivia Colman (“The Father”) and Daniel Kaluuya (“Judas and the Black Messiah“).
According to the combined predictions of Gold Derby users, Mulligan is the current front-runner to win the Best Actress Oscar for her “Promising” role as a former med student exacting revenge on abusive men. But in 2007, at age 22 — a couple of years before her breakthrough performance in “An Education” made her an international household name — she starred in the...
