Acclaimed actor Harry Morgan ("M*A*S*H," "Dragnet 1967") directed two episodes of "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour," but never actually acted on the series. He had guest starred on "Alfred Hitchcock Presents."
Walt Disney refused to allow Alfred Hitchcock to film at Disneyland in the early 1960s, because Hitchcock had made "that disgusting movie, Psycho (1960)." Hitchcock's intended project is unidentified at this time, but it may have been for an episode of his television series.
Some of the critics considered the hour long episodes to be unsatisfactory, supposedly due to there not being enough story to sustain the running time.
During the course of this episode there are multiple references to "Dr. Van Nostrand", in all likelihood this was the basis for the character Kramer utilized on numerous occasions in "Seinfeld"
Noticed that the production company is Shamley Productions... The same company that did the original Alfred Hitchcock Presents/Alfred Hitchcock hour in the 1950s and 1960s.
