Trivia
The lead character was originally called Tarzan, and that name was used in the title, until the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate threatened to take the producers to court for unauthorized use of the name. The name was then changed to "Taur."

LATE ENTRY INTO THE SWORD & SANDAL ERA

This movie, along with its companion feature, THOR AND THE AMAZONS, GLADIATRICS, were filmed in the former Yugoslavia and even use some of the same cast members as well as a lot of the same locations. Thea Fleming (Illa), does a great job in the female lead but only made a handful of starring role movies. Joe Robinson, the Karate expert from the UK does a nice job as the strongman Thor. Originally they tried to release this as a Tarzan movie but were shut-down. Notice the leopard skinned men in the caves. Half the movie takes place in the caves of Postojna and the rest in the arena area. Late entry but still fun to watch. There are clips on Y/T. Larry Anderson.
