Ten blind WWII veterans at the hospital appeared as extras and were advisers for this film.
Judy's car is a 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe convertible coupe.
Interesting note, when Jim Backus first appears in the movie, he is wearing a nautical cap that looks much like the same cap worn by Alan Hale years later in "Gilligan's Island", in which Backus also appears.
Arthur Kennedy wore contact lenses dyed black for this role.
