- Dennis Williams: Jane, don't talk like that.
- Jane Bandle: I would!
- [picks up knife]
- Dennis Williams: Jane, stop that! Give it to me
- [struggle ensues, Dennis is stabbed]
- Katherine Williams: You know as the wronged wife, I'm supposed to hate you. I don't like him. I think you're a fool and a weakling. That brother-in-law of yours hates you. He really hates you.
- Bill Bandle: Have you forgotten what she did to you? She's nothing but a two-timing double-crossing cheat.
- Fred Bandle: Don't you ever call her that again. And keep away from us!
- Bill Bandle: First time you ever hit me Freddy. Anyone else did that to me, I'd kill 'em.
- Fred Bandle: [picking Jane up on the dusty road, oblivious to her foiled attempt at escape] Where were you? Out for a walk? You busted a heel, huh? Well you shouldn't wear heels on a street like this.
- Bill Bandle: [Jane peers intently through the open door, anticipating the arrival of a cab] You better close that door, Jane. You're letting the flies in. Or if you're hinting for me to go, just remember: I'm a very coarse fellow. I don't understand such subtle signs.
- Dennis Williams: Jane, it comes down to this--my daughters come first. Well, they're teenage girls, Jane. They're right at that age where my companionship is important to them.
