Rumble on the Docks (1956)

Trivia

Rumble on the Docks

Edit
The producers put an asterisk after the title in many ads, explaining Rumble as "teenage slang for 'gang war'".
It's made clear that Jimmy is supposed to be 17 years old. The actress playing his mother Anna, Celia Lovsky, was almost 60 years old at the time of filming. Interestingly, the 49-year-old actor playing his father, Edgar Barrier, was artificially aged for his role to match her instead of trying to make her look younger.
James Darren's first movie.
Although the new union local is formed along the Brooklyn waterfront, and this is what is depicted as the setting for the film, Pier 85 is on the west side of midtown Manhattan on the Hudson River, next to where the U.S.S. Intrepid Museum is.
Joe Brindo's car, that impresses the gang, is a 1956 Lincoln Premiere. This was the first year for that model and was the mid-line vehicle for Lincoln's line-up between the Capri and the Continental Mark II.
