This was the only one of Honda's feature films that Steve Ryfle and Ed Godziszewski were not able to see for their biography on Honda. It would eventually see a DVD release right after the publishing of their book.
This was the only film Honda directed outside of Toho.
After not being screened in decades, it was showcased at the 2009 Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival. At the event was Shûsuke Kaneko along with Honda's son Ryuji.
