Katy Perry shared a very rare video of her daughter Daisy helping her get ready for the release of her new album.

On Friday (August 16), the 39-year-old “Woman’s World” hitmaker took to social media to share a clip of herself signing copies of her forthcoming album 143 with some help from her three-year-old daughter.

Daisy, who Katy shares with Orlando Bloom, is very rarely seen. However, she was apparently thrilled to be helping her mom out.

MTV has announced that singer Katy Perry will receive the 2024 Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs for her career achievements in music videos. She follows in the footsteps of other Vanguards including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Rihanna and Missy Elliott. As part of the celebration of her videography, Perry will also perform live during the telecast on September 11.

Sixteen years after topping the charts with “I Kissed a Girl,” Katy Perry is set to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

The pop star will also perform at the event, taking place Sept. 11 at Ubs Arena in Belmont Park, New York. The show was originally supposed to air live on Sept. 10 but changed to avoid airing opposite the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

After learning that Katy Perry was being investigated over the potential environmental impact of her “Lifetimes” video in Spain, a spokesperson for the singer told Rolling Stone Wednesday that she was “given verbal authority” to film at the protected dunes of S’Espalmador.

Spanish officials have opened an investigation into the production company for Katy Perry‘s latest music video for filming in protected dunes of the Balearic Islands without permission.

The Stillz-directed video for Perry’s newly released single Lifetimes from her sixth studio album 143 shows the singer partying and clubbing on the Mediterranean islands, but Spanish authorities released a statement Tuesday saying authorization was not sought to film on the ecologically sensitive land on the isle of S’Espalmado in Formentera.

Officials are looking into possible damage to the dunes, though Perry and the production team are not at risk of being persecuted for any “crime against the environment” because videos and photography “can be authorized” upon request.

The ministry in charge of conservation of the area said “in no case had the production company requested authorization from the ministry to carry out the filming” and that is why a preliminary investigation has been initiated.

Following the disastrous rollout of her recent single, “Woman’s World,” Katy Perry appears to have found herself in more hot water, this time for the unauthorized filming of her new music video, “Lifetimes,” on Spain’s Balearic Islands.

According to a translated statement from the regional government’s environmental department, an investigation has been opened after the production company responsible for the music video didn’t request the necessary authorization to film at the protected dunes at Ses Salines Natural Park.

Other parts of the music video showing Perry on various beaches, at clubs, and dancing through cities were filmed in different parts of the region, but the interior of the dune system of s’Espalmador is an especially fragile ecosystem the Balearic government describes as holding “great ecological value.”

However, I can recognize that it combines baroque strings and dance-pop synthesizers expertly.

After “Firework” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks, Perry wrote many other songs in this vein. Her other uplifting tracks — “Part of Me,” “Roar,” and “Woman’s World” — got worse and worse. Se should have written another “Teenage Dream” instead of several more “Firework” clones.
