Based on three plays by Georges Courteline , with additional lines by Marcel Achard .....
A rather long prologue made out of archive films from the turn of the century ,notably highlighting Louis Blériot, the first aviator who flew across the Channel.
Three middle-class ladies meet in a tea room where they talk about their hubbies .Of course all have a tendency to demean and to ridicule them.
Although it features some of the best actors of the era, the movie ,looking too much "filmed stage -poor -production ", never really takes off ...
My favorite is the second segment in which François Périer intends to make her wife pay (in cash) for her faults ; "no charge"song (French version:"cadeau" ) of sorts.
Louis De Funès' fans have to be patient for he appears in the third segment .
