It knows what you did… It will use it against you.
Allison Cutter is just a typical housewife living in California with her husband Ray. One night she wakes up to find herself alone in her bed with Ray nowhere in sight. She looks for him, but instead of finding her husband, she finds a different man in her kitchen. A completely nude man with slashed wrists raiding her refrigerator. Before Allison can call for help, she is stabbed seven times in the back. What follows is a story of a...

The third to last episode of Shadow and Bone's second season did not disappoint.
Shadow and Bone Season 2 Episode 6 saw a central character's death and the epic Firebird reveal.
The Crows also dealt with their significant discovery while repairing some relationships in Durat fashion.
We got no update on Matthias besides him burying his old cellmate killed by Pekka Rollins, but we hope Nina can find a way to free him soon.
If they are following the end of the Shadow and Bone Trilogy adaptation with Six Of Crows, Matthias may have to wait the rest of the season out in Hellgate.
The Shadow and Bone Trilogy is quickly wrapping up on the television show, with the Firebird's identity being revealed and the final battle with Kirigan looming.
This battle promises to be an epic showdown, with the fight between light and darkness taking center stage.
Before we get there,...

Shadow and Bone upped the ante for all characters and made for a brilliant episode halfway through the season.
Shadow and Bone Season 2 Episode 4 saw Kirigan directly attack Alina and the Lantsovs while Kaz took his shot against Pekka.
The question is, who succeeded?
David managed to escape Kirigan's grasp and turn himself over to the Crown and Alina, with important information on Kirigan's army and state of being.
Genya and Bahgra also moved to escape from Kirigan's shackles, literally.
Kaz and the Crows took on Kaz's number-one rival for the first half of the season, Pekka Rollins.
Kaz hit the man where he knew it would hurt. Kaz threatened the safety of Pekka's son to gain leverage over the man.
He convinced Pekka to sign confessions to the murders that lost Kaz's rights to the Crow club and to sign the freedom papers for Inej, but Inej wasn't near the scene.

Alina and Mal found a bit of peace, but that quickly got foiled when Alina learned her nightmares were real.
Shadow and Bone Season 2 Episode 1 saw Alina dreaming of Kirigan inside the fold while the Crows dealt with their issues.
Pekka managed to kill the woman whose name was on the deed for the Crow Club, which means the club now was his: as was Inej's contract.
Mal and Alina continued their romance, but their romantic interactions kept getting interrupted by multiple outside occurrences.
Both of them managed to get caught, causing them to flee the land they had just arrived in.
We didn't see much of the Zemeni side of things, so hopefully, they get brought back into the future. Just as Alina did, we learned that the Zemeni consider their magic users blessed and don't categorize them.
The Zemeni saved Alina and Mal later in the episode, much to everyone's surprise.

“Shadow and Bone” showrunner Eric Heisserer has already assembled a writers room to plan for a potential “Six of Crows” spinoff series, which he hopes could follow Season 2 of the Netflix fantasy show.
The first two seasons of “Shadow and Bone” adapt both the trilogy of the same name by Leigh Bardugo and the “Six of Crows” duology set in the same universe, coralling characters from both books together. Season 2 continues to adapt “Shadow and Bone,” but the finale sets the stage for a bigger plot from the Crows side of things.
“The story of ‘Six of Crows’ is a heist in the Ice Court, which is deep in Fjierda and it is around a sacred holiday of theirs called Hringkälla,” Heisserer told TheWrap. “The whole book of ‘Six of Crows’ is devoted to that, and what we’ve done in Season 2 was essentially set that up as the next crow story.

Two years after "Shadow and Bone" made its debut on Netflix, the Grishaverse finally returns with season 2 of the fantasy-action-romance hybrid. Based on the books by Leigh Bardugo, this is a show dense with lore that shows no mercy to non-book readers and/or those for whom April 2021 is a distant, foggy memory. It's definitely worth rewatching the first season if you don't want to be floundering in questions like "wait, what's merzost?" and "who the hell are all these people?"
If you don't have time for a rewatch, here are the basics. The world is made up of ordinary people and Grisha, born wizards with power over certain elements. Some can control wind, some can control fire, some can control water, some can manipulate materials, some can hear heartbeats and squish people's internal organs at will. In season 1, orphan Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li) learned that she was a...

When considering the scores for movie Westerns, film music collectors often refer to classics such as Max Steiner's The Searchers, Dimitri Tiomkin's Rio Bravo or Victor Young's Shane, all of which are, of course, fabulous scores. Monstrous Movie Music have again, (and in keeping with their refreshing style), ventured into new territories with the release of Paul Dunlap’s Western score to Hellgate (1952) (Mmm-1972). Rather surprisingly, this CD marks the first full release to feature Dunlap’s film music. The composer was incredibly prolific throughout his career scoring diverse projects which spanned from many of The Three Stooges movies to the cult classic Aip horrors including the Teenage Frankenstein/Werewolf series of films. For a B movie western, there was something a little different about Hellgate – it was really rather good! Hellgate was directed by Charles Marquis Warren, a tough...

Vci Entertainment have released the 1952 B Western Hellgate as a burn-to-order DVD. Viewing it is a worthy experience, as this film is representative of so many fine features that have largely been lost to time. Sterling Hayden plays Gil Hanley, a quiet veterinarian living in post-Civil War Kansas. The place had been terrorized during the war by marauding parties of renegades fighting on both sides. These raiders often killed and tortured indiscriminately (see The Outlaw Josey Wales). With the war over for two years, the U.S. Army is trying to track down these criminals and bring them to justice. Hanley's life changes for the worse when he treats an escaped criminal for injuries without knowing his identity. Circumstantial evidence leads the army to arrest him and, in a kangaroo court held by a military tribunal, he is sentenced to hard labor at Hellgate Prison. The place is appropriately named,...
