- Bartholomew: [Grabbing a drink tray] I'll take that!
- Sutter, Grand's Butler: Who are you? You're no waiter!
- Bartholomew: Sir, I'm not only a waiter, I'm a bee man, a G-man, and a he-man!
- Cortland Grand: [to all those present in his house] This is Nick Carter. I won't tell him your names because he has a habit of finding things out for himself.
- Bartholomew: [as Bartholomew suddenly comes in the door] Bartholomew reports.
- Nick Carter: Look, will you scram?
- Bartholomew: Never! Your assistant goes where you go.
- Nick Carter: [In frustration] Beeswax, didn't I tell you before I left New York that this was merely a pleasure jaunt?
- Bartholomew: Ah, but I never know when crime will rear its ugly kid.
- Bartholomew: [Taking out two guns in the back seat and pointing them in opposite directions and then talking to the driver] Stop the car immediately, sir! I you fail, you're a dead mam.
- Dr. Crattan: How did you arrive at that conclusion?
- Bartholomew: [Matter-of-factly] I'll shoot him.
- Senator Monrose: [Referring to Pat] Why, anything you say. Do you mind if I remark the young lady is very attractive.
- Nick Carter: I'll say, she is like a magnet. She attracts steel, bombs, gunpowder, and sudden death.
- Nick Carter: Well, and one thing more - would you be afraid to take a chance of getting a knife in the back?
- Senator Monrose: Um, son, I've been a politician for forty years, and a knife in the back is an old story for me.
- Christine Cross: I got a clue for you. It has something to do with cake.
- Nick Carter: Cut me a slice, honey.
- Christine Cross: I know this clue had something to do with cake, and cake has something to do with what I was supposed to do. What goes with cake?
- Bartholomew: Ice cream.
- Christine Cross: No, too cold.
- Bartholomew: Tea.
- Christine Cross: No, that's too hot.
- Bartholomew: Iced tea!
- Nick Carter: Have you any pull with the Army Air Corps?
- Senator Monrose: Oh, I've never voted against their appropriations.
