Low-budget remake of It Happened One Night (1934) but minus two famous bits: the Wall of Jericho and the hitchhiking scenes.
A remake of It Happened one Night (1934) with some important differences: the 1934 movie was a (non-musical) screwball comedy at 104 minutes, whereas the 1945 movie was a musical that ran only 64 minutes. Both were produced by Columbia Pictures.
This movie was unusual for female lead Ann Miller, famed for her singing and dancing in movie musicals, in that she does not dance at all. (She does, however, sing four songs in 64 minutes.)
This was the fourth movie in which singer-dancer Ann Miller and William Wright appeared together.
