One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. Its initial television presentation took place in Chicago Saturday 28 February 1959 on WBBM (Channel 2); it was next taken off the shelf in Asheville, NC 21 April 1959 on WLOS (Channel 13), 28 December 1959 in Grand Rapids on WOOD (Channel 8), and 25 February 1960 in Detroit on WJBK (Channel 2).
The Boy Scouts of America provided a technical adviser to Paramount Pictures during filming, credited as E.B. DeGroot.
