One of the last songs in this movie is the German folk song "Muss i denn". The movie Carl Peters (1941), which also starred Hans Albers, started with the same song.
The film was restored from the original negative in 2017 and 2018.
American singer Elvis Presley, who was stationed in Germany during his stint in the Army, hit #1 in the UK in 1961 with his version of "Muss i denn," called "Wooden Heart."
