- Buck Sherman and Jake Jackson, a couple of evil carpetbaggers, illegally enter a Navajo reservation to prospect for gold and end up killing Aranho, the Navajos chief. Black Arrow, presumed Aranho's son, refuses to kill the Indian agent, Tom Whitney, in revenge, as demanded by Navajo law. Then, he is driven off the reservation for his reluctance to kill Whitney and decides to join forces with Pancho, Mary Brent and the agent to go in search of the men who killed the chief.—GusF
- Chapter Fiffteen THE BLACK ARROW TRIUMPHS - Striking the rock wall as it falls, the packing case opens, releasing BlacK Arrow (Mark Foster) who climbs to safety. Before leaving Big Mesa, Jake Jackson (Kenneth Macdonald and Bill (Ted Mapes) decide on one more try for the Zuni treasure. Meanwhile Black Arrow tells Tom Whitney (Charles Middleton) that Jackson is Aranho's murderer, and deducing he will go to the cave, they go there to get him. They catch up with him at the Zunipueblo and Jackson is killed when a ladder topples under his weight during the chase. The Nacajos assemble to name Black Arrow as their new chief but it is disclosed that he is, in reality, Whitney's long lost son. Black Arrow and Mary Blake (Adele Jergens) embrace. - Chapter One THE CITY OF GOLD -Carpetbaggers Jake Jackson (Kenneth MacDonald), Buck Sherman (Robrt B. Williams) and Tobias Becker (I. Stanford Jolley) arrive in Big Mesa in search of gold. Disregarding the warning of Indian agent To Whitney (Charles Middleon), they enter the Navajo reservation and are captured by members of the Zuni tribe. Chief Atalan (Nick Thompson) releases them when they strike matches, leading him to believe they are fire gods. Meanwhile, elsewhere on the reservation, Black Arrow (Mark Roberts), son of Navajo chief Aranho (Elmo Lincoln), wins a place on the Council of Elders after defeating Snake-That-Wallks (George J. Lewis). Leaving the Zuni district, Jackson and Sherma are intercepted by Aranho and Running Water (George Navarro), both of whom they shoot. Before dying, Aranho tells Whitney that his son, believed killed years ago in an Indian raid, is alive. Under Indian law, the white man's chief must be killed in retribution for Aranho's death. When Black Arrow refuses to kill Whitney he is forced to leave the reservation. Black Arrow heads into a canyon, and finds himself facing death under the hooves of wild horses, stampeded by Snake-That-Walks. To Be Continued.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
