This movie had the longest shooting schedule - 10 days - of any of the 52 MGM-produced Our Gang shorts (partly accounted for being shot over the 1941 Thanksgiving holiday, something usually avoided by the studio).
The 204th of 220 "Our Gang" shorts, and the 36th produced at MGM, released from 1922 to 1944.
The only MGM short not to feature Darla Hood or Janet Burston as the female lead - here played by Juanita Quigley as Sally. She reprises her earlier guest appearance in The New Pupil (1940).
