Banned in the Netherlands upon its release in 1932 due to the scene when Stan and Ollie lie on a bed with a woman. This ban was subsequently lifted.
Filming began on June 18th, 1932. This is one month before they embarked on their infamous UK Tour.
The drunk's car is a 1929 Lincoln Model L Dual-Cowl Phaeton.
This film has been preserved by the UCLA Film and Television Archive.
Scram! was preserved and restored by the UCLA Film and Television Archive from the nitrate original picture negative, a nitrate lavender master and the nitrate original track negative. The restoration premiered at the UCLA Festival of Preservation in 2022.
