Paramount held a billiards championship between takes during this film's production October 29th, 1930. Clara Bow, Charles Ruggles, Rosita Moreno and Geneva Mitchell all competed, and Bow won "by a straight run of three."
Her Wedding Night was based on the Avery Hopwood play, Little Miss Bluebeard, and, was also based on the Earl Pearson divorce scandal of October 1928, in which Clara was a participant, but the scandal did not become public knowledge until mid-June of 1930.
One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. However, because of legal complications, this particular title was not included in the original television package and may not have ever been televised.
Based on a Broadway musical farce that ran at the Lyceum Theatre from August 28, 1923 through January 26, 1924 (for a total of 175 performances), the play was originally used as a vehicle called Miss Bluebeard starring Bebe Daniels in 1925. Paramount fished it out of the archives, made a few updates, and expected Clara to carry it to profitability.
