In early October 1929 First National Pictures announced this film as Dorothy Mackaill's next project. It was announced that the film would be entitled "Green Stockings" from the play of the same name.
In September 1928, Warner Bros. Pictures purchased a majority interest
in First National Pictures and from that point on, all "First National" productions were actually made under Warner Bros. control, even though the two companies continued to retain separate identities until the mid-1930's, after which time "A Warner Bros.-First National Picture" was often used.
In a separately filmed trailer, Vitaphone production reel #3848, Dorothy Mackaill introduces the film.
Based on the Broadway play "Green Stockings" by A.E.W. Mason that opened at the 39th Street Theater, 119. W. 39th St. on 2 October 1911 and ran for 48 performances.
This film has been preserved by the Library of Congress.
