Goofs

When Umbopa translates what the Africans are saying about Good (white legs, etc.), there are trees behind Good in the longer shot, but they have vanished in the close shot of his face.

When the group approaches the King's house, the ring of warriors disappears in one shot.

In the ceremony before the eclipse, there is inconsistency in the shadows, particularly that of Gagool in several shots. Generally, the sun is from the left, but in some shots Gagool's shadow indicates the sun is from the right.

The diary page containing the eclipse notification is titled "WED. 2ND JUNE 1882". That day was actually a Friday.

There was no eclipse on 02 June 1882. There was one on 17 May, but it was visible in central Africa, not southern Africa.

As the party climbs the mountains, Umbopa appears to be wearing shoes in some shots.

The second paragraph of Quartermain's diary entry for Monday 15th begins: "Four over four weeks we have toiled northwards ..."

Commander Good's monocle consistently reflects multiple studio lights.

The opening credits list Cedric Hardwicke as Allan Quartermain. However, following the credits his diary reads "The Diary of Alan Quartermain, White Hunter 1881-1882."

When Paul Robeson tells the white people his secret, a native eavesdropping outside the hut hears him and is very excited. But none of the natives speaks English.
