When Umbopa translates what the Africans are saying about Good (white legs, etc.), there are trees behind Good in the longer shot, but they have vanished in the close shot of his face.
When the group approaches the King's house, the ring of warriors disappears in one shot.
In the ceremony before the eclipse, there is inconsistency in the shadows, particularly that of Gagool in several shots. Generally, the sun is from the left, but in some shots Gagool's shadow indicates the sun is from the right.
The diary page containing the eclipse notification is titled "WED. 2ND JUNE 1882". That day was actually a Friday.

it was visible in central Africa, not southern Africa.
