Re-titled 'Surrounded by Women' in order to avoid confusion with the similarly titled Between Two Women (1945), this film was initially telecast in Los Angeles Tuesday 18 February 1958 on KTTV (Channel 11), followed by Philadelphia Friday 9 May 1958 on WFIL (Channel 6), and by San Francisco 28 May 1958 on KGO (Channel 7). Its original title has since been restored, and it's presently in the Turner Classic Films MGM film collection.
Writer of the original story Erich von Stroheim and star Franchot Tone would six years later both work as actors in Five Graves to Cairo (1943). The cinematographer of both films was John F. Seitz.
The film was given a "B" rating by the National Legion of Decency - morally objectionable in part for all.
