Rosita Díaz Gimeno was married to the son of the Republican President Juan Negrín. As the picture was shot when the Spanish civil war had just started (1936) and was not premiered until 3 years after when Franco was ruling, her name as a republican actress was plainly censored from the credits, even though she was the leading lady! Compare novelized film cover to official heralds images as a proof. The same happened with her fellow republican supporting actors in the cast.
