Here we have Mack Sennett's team turning out a comic version of the old melodrama, with a large cast that makes it difficult to describe. It's a wealthy household where Louise Fazenda are servants. Gladys Ballard is the daughter of the house, who falls in love with medicine show man. Billy Armstrong; he sees that marrying her is a way to wealth, even though he's already married to Kalla Pasha.
All of which is an excuse for various comic gags, most of them perpetrated on Bevan and Miss Fazenda It all ends in a chase, of course, and the threat of the baby of the household being poisoned because Miss Fazenda mistakes a bottle of metal polish for tonic. None of it mattters except as an excuse to run the gags, which are done, as is typical of the Sennett studio, very well.
