Stock footage of attacks on a wagon train from this film was also used in the serial The Indians Are Coming (1930).
Incomplete print exists: approximately half of the film has survived and was found in France.
According to the the film's promotional material, many of the Indians in the climactic Battle of the Litte Big Horn were the grandsons of Indian warriors who participated in the actual battle in 1876, and some were wearing the same costumes their grandfathers wore during the fight.
Brief footage of the climactic Battle of the Little Big Horn was filmed in 2-strip Technicolor and ran 219 feet.
