Very good plot and awesome views in Romanian
One good show, with great plot and awesome views from Romania and in Greece. Loyalty and betrayal are the main subjects in the show as well as duplicity. It worths a try :).

Love it
I watched Ezel and really like it.
But I like Vlad as well.. Actually somehow more than Ezel. Only hope Vlad would end different than Ezel. Actors are very good. Expecally Adrian Nartea, who played Vlad is very good and charismatic. Great Romanian series

Disappointment, though 7/10 to pep up
The first season.
The idea is rich (how could it not be?), Alexandre Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo is a theme one can elaborate upon considerably. Sadly, they stretched it by length and by breadth and produced a porous fabric. It started well, then, sadly, slid into a telenovela. The plot here dashes, then trails. The acting is bad, almost all the (fairly) young actors act unnatural or stilted (excepting Diana Sar and Anghel Damian). Camera angles and shots are frequently toneless or drab. Points for effort, but needs more professionals and, definitely, another director.
After the second season. It is still a telenovela, but with more action, some humorous dialogues, less overacting, less maudlin scenes, less eye-piercing (*expletive) camera (rife in the first season), new characters, extended plot, and more of Anghel Damian's scripting, that take the second season to a higher (better) level. Still, the scenography is wanting from time to time. Episode 3 part II, the fight between Vlad and Leo looks simulated. Episode 4 part I, medical aid outfit just hanging there, anyone could use it. And more...
Points for episode 13 part I, great drama, great acting (see Tibi at Leo's bed). The show looks promising.
I'll come back with the third season assessment.

Simply amazing - it gives you goosebumps
Never in my life had I thought that a Romanian TV series would be this good. The old movies are good yes, but this is really good. Extremely good shots, attention to the details, really great framing, good sound, really accurate flashbacks and of course a great plot. The use of a narrator voice gives it an extra feeling of belonging. The narrator Adrian/Vlad is getting in touch with us through his narration of the story so of course we side with him. It's like we are part of the story because he is telling it to us, and we listen and see, not just see. It's amazing.

different
A different Romanian serie by all experiments from the early 2000 to present. Sure, many virtues, to the wise use of the old story of revenge in the tradition of Count of Monte cristo to the performances and script and locations and nuances. The basic good point - the care for details, ignored in past in so many situations. Well crafted can be the fair word for define it. Because it gives a large and complex story, interesting characters and precise perspectives about characters. So, a promising start in an important genre for large public, its science to educate the taste of public being, to, a not small virtue.

an amazing romanian series!!! I am impressed !
I think very well played roles, well done! I am impressed !
Great Romanian show
Vlad is an even better Romanian production than what we're used to. It's obvious that talented people have contributed to this show and made it almost as good as the Hollywood movies that people love.
Compared to the Turkish show, the scenes are more dramatic and the actors made some incredible improvements to their characters which are evolving from one episode to another.

Very good
I am speechless and never tought Romania could come up with such a great series. I enjoy every bit of it.
It is a god series but....
The series is very good and the actors are the best in their roles but the series is very similar to Ezel a turkish series.
The sounds are very good and the effects are the best.It is not original and that makes him a series of 8
Plot, acting and directing a disaster
The acting is extremely poor. It is just another cheap soap opera for people that just missed graduating highschool.

Best romanian TV series
It is actually sad that people underate this show because they think is a copy of Ezel, when in fact is a franchise of the Turkish TV series. I think that 80% of the cast is incredibly good and the plotline constructed around was absolutely lit. Congrats PRO TV!

As a romanian this show is a low budget wanna be series with guns its bad the explotions effect are from the 60s the story is decent but it lacks a lot of stuff.
Best Romanian TV show on an main channel!
As story, this show starts similar to the turkish show Ezel, but the final of the show proves that this show is better than Ezel. Great actors, great acting, great script, great angles of filming!

I almost dropped Vlad mid season 3. Series was soo good.. until the 4th season, then it started to follow a slow phase. Vlad was not as perfect as the series would display..
From season 4 onward, Vlad was not the same role model we used to grow up with. He became more conscious of himself, less perfect in this complex way he presented himself; more human..
In a way, I felt as I was wasting my time to reach this point where he felt at fault, because he was not 10 out of 10 anymore, and I could not have respected him even.. he was more of a 9.8, as for now..
He presented himself right, even if he made some bad turns in his great plan for retribution.. which made him.. less perfect..
..and I felt so indignated.
Nevertheless, with all the mistakes he has made, I feel like he deserves the recognition of someone who've made it, at least for now, in the top tier!
..continuing..
The real life actor of Vlad, is, as I've heard - a man who whithstood two brain operations and still made the series performace, as good as it is - from the beginning until the finale of the last season.
Mostly in the center of the spotlight of Vlad, within action that took place, more intense, from one episode to another, and some other characters accompanying him - Vlad left his mark on me as the best romanian series I have watched so far..
..affair of a gentleman as it is; looks of a suitable person to accompany at a dining night and speak curious things; a familist on-screen and a great actor on-site..
In the end.. the series still motivated me and made an impact..
..which is, besides the extraordinary writing from two stage directors (and, aside some missed points in quality over the last 5 episodes - excluding the finale, which was extraordinary) I'd say.. a flawless victory!
10/10 (9.8) - on point!

full of gaps and bad actors
Andrei Aradits such a bad actor,it is a pain to watch!!!
A series with a good story but ruined by the Romanians, the main actors play embarrassingly bad and often the supporting actors play more decently. Adrian Nartea plays so poorly the Vlad role, it is a pain to watch.
Andrei Aradits is one of the worst actors of all time, is so cringe and unnatural.

Dissapointed
I'm very dissapointed. I was expecting to see more action scenes, fight scenes, and better actors. It's just a cheap and low cost soap opera. The plot is very weak and sometimes you have the impression that in some scenes the characters do nothing interesting.
Worst show i've seen
They make it longer then it neede to be. It is absurd and only old people watch it on tv.too many ads and not even realistic.plus they block half the park for four hours with theirs stupid show.

dissapointing
This tv series started strong but in the end i was not pleased with the outcome. The director killed all my favorite characters and i will never forgive him for that.
