At the end of the movie, Mike's mother is watching Days of Our Lives (1965), a show on which Alison Sweeney has appeared for years.

The characters of Tara Thurman and Tim Reynolds, portrayed by Jesse Moss, are twins. The photograph of Tara is of Tegan Moss, Jesse's real life sister, although they are not twins in real life, Jesse two years older than Tegan.

Peter Benson plays Detective Arthur Smith, a regular character in "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries" (2015), another Hallmark series of mystery movies. Also appearing in that series as the recurring character of lawyer Bubba Rankart is Dave Collette.

Alison Sweeney and Toby Levins star in the Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery (2015) movie series also for Hallmark Movies + Mysteries, Levins' character married to Sweeney's character's sister.
